All women are crazy. It's in their blood. But they're also the most beautiful thing in the world. So we put up with the crazy for the beauty. All's fair in love and war, right? Let's be real gentlemen, they're the reason we get up in the morning, go to work, and eat crow most of the day. They're our biggest inspiration.
Besides the women close to me who I will not embarrass here by naming names, there are a few standouts through out time... From the likes of Francoise Hardy to Jane Birkin. But none have a special place in the sonic landscape that is my heart like Astrud Gilberto. I can't think of a more beautiful album cover than her "I Haven't Got Anything Better To Do." When a woman looks at you like that... Nothing you can do but love The Girl from Ipanema...
Astrud Gilberto, João Gilberto, & Stan Getz - The Girl from Ipanema

Seriously. Ms. Gilberto and Ms. Hardy made it pretty hard for girls, don't you think? Noumenal girls for sure.

Seriously True. Women have been the main end all be all for men for eons and perhaps Eons more. If you think about the primal desire beyond anything it usually ends up being a woman.

Yeah, totally agree with comments ^. The end-all-be-all of everything we aspire to be, buy, look, feel, acquire is the result of impressing and gaining the affection and of women. It's our peacocking for the modern era...
Also why I post the Monday Muse, who doesn't need a little inspiration before the long work week?

sorry about the link in the comments...I didn't mean to leave that in there...it's poor taste, and people know how to find that. I hate it on my blog as well...

Sorry, Jake, not really feeling the "crazy" thing. Kind of an unfair statement. There are a lot of beautiful women out there who are sane as hell. My wife's one of 'em. Otherwise, I agree. They're why we do what we do.
And Ryan, no faux pas here. Like your blog a lot, and I'm not sure I would have clicked had it not been for the link.

*AMEN* to every word in your fist paragraph; I couldn't have said it better myself, brother.
And EXCELLENT music selection! Stan Getz's "The Girl from Ipanema" is without question one of my all time favorite tunes.
