The very cool people at Definitive Touch asked me for some tips on style. I call them life lessons. I hope you find them helpful. It would be cool if you added some of your own lessons in the comments section below for us all to learn from.
While you're checking out Definitive Touch be sure to take a look at some other really interesting people they've featured in the lifestyles section including Simon Spurr, Örjan Andersson, and Nick Friedberg.
Great statements. They sort of remind me of Paul Ardens ideas.
My contribution would be a Godard quote: "it's not where you take things from - it's where you take them to."

Solid statements. I'll steal from Einstein - "Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts."
And Warren Beatty - "You've achieved success in your field when you don't know what you're doing is work or play."

With that being said, biting others' style can end up backfiring big time if you don't have the swagger to make it your own; nobody looks good in a costume.

With that being said, my "advice" could be paraphrased by that Godard quote in the first comment. I guess that's what I get for not reading carefully.
