Absolutely Kennedy. Seems like everything current came from a shot of the President.

perfect pair of jeans = timeless style

that one "go-to" pair of raw denim that fades with time and wear. you can dress them up or down and can last you years ...

BTW - is all you have a size 40? too big :(

Timeless style is something your dad would've worn. Something his dad would've worn, and so on.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday. ~Author Unknown @frankiep325

Timeless style isn't about my dad, or his dad, it's about me, today, tomorrow, and on.

My grandfather always told me, (translated from Russian) "Make sure to be unique, but never too much." This has always resonated with me as a reminder to always be classic, but never be afraid to advance the timeless look.

For me, the idea of timelessness has to do with someone looking at what you are wearing and not being able to pinpoint the exact year or fad that you may be mimicking, however, always being able to tell that it is you and your own personal style.

Essentially, just knowing how to make what you have work, and doing so with confidence.

Timeless style to mean is the necessity of a story. The idea that either history will be made with this or that.

"Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match"
-Biggie Smalls

Timeless style involves attention, awareness, discipline and effort. While sometimes it is said that the clothes make the man, I have always believed that the right man can make any clothes or situation feel natural.

If you're wearing it while it's broken, torn, or hell, even has CUSS [in the voice of Mr. Clooney] stains: I'd consider it timeless. For example, a broken Rolex.

What you could be wearing at one point and then three or fifteen years later, and no one questions your style. Timeless style is rooted in all of us and unifies fashion. Their pieces that are functional and fit the wearer comfortably (cozy) without excess (e.g. no fashionable too-tight or bagginess) and while they may become a trend temporarily, they have always looked good and always will. It does not require a context of time, or place, or current tastes, to make sense. They are real clothes - clothes that are your friends and in sense your own house, which you carry on you. Wherever you go whether it is geographically or from morning to night you can feel comfortable just being you.

"Can’t buy this, superflyness, like a shyness, your highness
It’s performin’, look how long the line is
That’s what happens when you make shit that’s timeless"

Kanye West ft. Rakim, Nas, & KRS One - Classic
@vamks

It's being comfortable in ones own skin and using clothes/accesories, music, film and art etc as an extension of this. It's showing yourself and the world that what you are and what you believe in has SOUL.

Timeless style is something I buy today and will still wear when I'm 80.

The difference between style and fashion is that fashion changes.

timeless style = not spending money...

In a world that is always changing, something that is timeless will always have its place. I think this is because the only constants in this world are a certain set of values.. like self-reliance, confidence, honesty, integrity, hard work, you name it. Timeless style essentially represents these timelss values without saying anything at all. And it's not only about clothes. It's about about demeanour. It's about being at home in the world.

The key to timeless style is remembering that no opinion matters more than your own. As Marcus Aurelius tells us in Meditations:

"I have often wondered how it is that every man loves himself more than all the rest of men, but yet sets less value on his own opinion of himself than on the opinion of others."

@pondermag

Colors and cuts will change with time. Timeless style is knowing the difference between the ones that work and the ones that are a passing phase.

It’s an understanding that a story, a look will remain no matter where you go or what you encounter. Living, breathing individuality and effortlessness; therefore, timeless.

Wish I needed a 40R, very cool.

I wear what blogs/other people tell me.

Anyone wanna buy some bapes?

Timeless style is having my kids and then their grandkids ask if they can borrow or own this jacket several years from now.

an eschewing of unnecessary adornment...

For me Ralph Lauren talking with Charlie Rose on the 22nd January 1993 is my idea of timeless style. Nearly 17 years ago, what he had to say then is still so relevant today…

Waking up in my boyfriends bed on a cool Sunday morning and pulling out the first button up that looks like it might fit.

All purpose warmth and style. Utilize a front pocket for flask storage for a winter warmer while either hiking in the woods or hanging in the city.

Timeless style is saying with your clothing that you're here for the long haul.

As I sit at the back of my freshman seminar where every other jaded freshman wears skinny jeans, thick-framed glasses, an ironic tee-shirt and over-sized retro headphones, just waiting for lecture to be over so you can light up a Turkish Gold and walk to lunch while listening to Wilco. I began to compile a spontaneous list of songs from my Itunes that define “Timeless Style” to me (not in any specific order):

The Times They Are A-Changin Bob Dylan
Close to Me – The Cure
Bebete Vaobora – Jorge Ben
Someone Great – LCD Soundsystem
Porcelain – Moby
Smile Upon Me – Passion Pit
This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody) – Talking Heads
Sweet Jane – The Velvet Underground
Bette Davis Eyes – Kim Carnes
Home – Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
The Girl from Ipanema – Stan Getz & Astrud Gilberto
Hum Drum (ft. Futurecop) – Theophilus London
I’d Rather Dance With You – Kings of Convenience
Too Young – Phoenix

I won’t lie during adolescents I went through all the awkward phases of style: from the emo rock kid to the preppy mommy’s boy to the surfer dude. Basically you name it I attempted to fit that mold. Through all these variegated styles it was always that classic traditional piece that truly made me feel comfortable in my skin. Even though I may never finish refining my style, I know that I will have those timeless amazing styles. Enjoy the music!

All my best - taylor

The truly stylish will often blend in and go unnoticed by the non-discerning eye. As in all walks of life, real recognize real.

Patek Philippe's ad said it all for me "You never actually own a style (Patek Philippe), you merely look after it for the next generation."

Timeless has got to be effortless.

Timeless style is when you forget all about fashion.

Timeless means the 80's fashion bug didn't bite you or if it did it didn't bite you too hard.

classic "i'm better than i've ever been"

style is a skinhead jerking off on the train

Grandpa wore his suit to dinner
Nearly every day
No particular reason
He just dressed that way
Brown necktie and a matching vest
And both his wingtip shoes
He built a closet on our back porch
And put a penny in a burned out fuse.

"Grandpa Was A Carpenter" John Prine

Timeless isn't spitting out what the blogosphere has fed you in order to win a jacket (hypocrite 'cause I like this jacket).

Timeless is shamelessly post-modern.

It's style without ostentation. Without effort. Timeless style is stealing from the greats and making it your own.

The man was driving his hunter green Land Rover Defender down the dusty road towards camp. As he glanced at his 1962 Rolex Submariner that his father had given him, he noticed that his chambray shirt was stained with the blood from the cape buffalo he just killed. He hadn't shaved in a few days, and his grey scruff was starting to show. When he arrived to camp, he pulled out his Case knife that had been passed down from his grandfather to clean the animal. The sweat, dust, and blood combined to stain his shirt, Filson tin cloth brush pants, and tin cloth hat. His worn and callused hands worked the knife perfectly in a methodical way, just as his father had taught him.

style without time is like time without style

“A style does not go out of style as long as it adapts itself to its period. When there is an incompatibility between the style and a certain state of mind, it is never the style that triumphs.”

Coco Chanel

Timeless style is a good meal and some drinks with friends and family. Wearing a rumpled white oxford helps.

just a reminder
"no matter where you go, you are what you are playa
you can try to change but that's just the top layer..
man. you was who you was.. before you got here.
only god can judge me, so.. i'm gone,
either love me.. or leave me alone."

- Shawn C. Carter

Timeless style means never having to say you're sorry... for what you were wearing in that picture.

Timeless style is being able to wear something today while looking fly and stashing it in the closet and wearing it years later while still looking fresh

Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess.

-Edna W. Chase

timeless style is the ability to stand out without standing out.

Timeless style has nothing to do with clothes.

Timeless style to me means that you find something that "works" for you and you stick to it. Not necessarily a set look, or article of clothing that is a good choice for everyone, but something that is consistent for you and helps keep your own personal look "timeless". A perfect example of this is Jake Phelps, editor of Thrasher magazine. He wears (and has consistently worn for some 20-30 years) Ray Ban Wayfarers. And they look good on him. This is his own personal "timeless" style.

Timeless style

Not giving a fuck and looking good doing it.

comfort and confidence.

Timeless style:

Standing in the Duluth Pack store in Canal Park in Duluth, Minnesota looking at this very Buffalo Plaid Mackinaw Cruiser the day after Thanksgiving, wishing I had the cash to walk wearing it feeling Timeless.

Realizing I had already accomplished my own timelessness in a beat up, unwashed, cuffed pair of raw New Standards, a pair of Work and Sport boots with 2 years of real work under their soles, and a red, white, and black plaid flannel shirt I haven't stopped wearing since I got it from Gander Mountain a year ago on sale for $13.

Timeless Style is.....
The one look, ever changing, ever reincarnated, that speaks somehow from and to and for that which is ineffable within us and without us,that is both folly and wisdom, that inspires us to talk or smile or simply to go on, senselessly, incomprehensibly, beatifically, in the face of jealousy and the truth that our lives are more fleeting than any other look, except perhaps those looks - that look, endlesly reincarnated - born of that truth, be it the moon or June , or the nameless black-hulled ship of Ulysses, that long black train, droll airplane that Buick 6 - same journey, same writ, same end and endlessness.

Timeless style is looking back while dreaming ahead.

Timeless style is that one thing that you wear, over and over, and see it on a Grandpa in town, and a kid at school.

Style is having a look that one is unable to attribute to a certain decade. Wouldn't it be a remarkable thing to have someone puzzled at the decade in which a photo was taken?

Timeless style: Some people may love it while others may hate but you will always be it, regardless of the date.

Timeless is about style not fashion

Timeless Style : The same things / images / values that influence my personal style will be the same things my grandkids will look to incorporate into theirs.

It means I won't have to go to the mall, because I'll never have to replace a damn thing.

“Great things are not accomplished by those who yield to trends and fads and popular opinion.”

timeless style is absolutely rocking what you are wearing... whether that be jeans and a white t, heritage workwear or something quirky and interesting

timeless style is born out of classics and individualism not fashion trends.

timeless style, like art, is creative and individualistic with a true meaning only to those whose have separated themselves from the trends.

One look that sees you through the office, to the bar, to the shore (roll your cuffs), on the sand with your girl, a bottle of wine, back to the bar (roll your sleeves), lose your smokes, loosen your tie, lose your girl, lose the tie, stop off for a shine because you've been running your Aldens ragged and you're sitting in the chair, hammered, on your way to crash a party in the same kit you rolled out of the house in at 7:30 that morning. And, somehow, you've been dressed appropriately through it all.

wtf my shit got changed

Fashion: The clothes wear the man.
Style: The man wears the clothes.

The rest is just details.

With regards to style; style merely falls into the vast realm of transcendency that imbues timelessness.

“The timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness; and knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream.”

-Kahlil Gibran

an amazing song while driving solo through the desert. a well worn pair of jeans and some dusty boots. a pair of chuck taylors, vinyl, any book by james baldwin, and being confident in whatever you find yourself in. confidence in one's self makes a look come together.

Timeless Style:

The wherewithal, vision, and confidence to make any, I mean ANY, piece a classic when you put it on by wearing it with the proper attitude and combining it with appropriate complimentary pieces.

timeless style is.

Timeless style is aesthetically appealing, but built on functionality.

A picture of a dapper individual is presented to you and you are unable to tell whether the picture was taken yesterday or 50+ years ago. TIMELESS STYLE

A timeless look was a trend once upon a time.

functional and enduring...

thanks for the chance...

It's the aggregate of all the images, expereinces and people that have led you to the point in your life where you are truly comfortable with your own look.

Sitting in front of my grandfather while he shined his shoes so carefully. Loving the smell cigarette's and cologne on my Dad's old leather bomber jacket. Learning how to tie a tie, the night before my first day of prep school. Asking to use his perfect canvas weekend bag to go on school trips.

It's the authenticity that lies inside of us.

"Jake Davis is timeless style."

-H.

dude, that's like the defender 90 of shirts. sick

This jacket is so McFly that George, Marty, and even Marty's kid could wear it and look pimpin.

No matter how many versions or modifications of the original occur, the original still remains the gold standard.

Aside from being a perception of origin, timeless style is priceless, as time is money.

Style is something you should grow old and comfortable with. It make take some effort, but eventually it comes together.

Style is something you should grow old and comfortable with. It may take some effort, but eventually it comes together.

Timeless style is the projection of an image that seems natural and aesthetically perfect.

"To me style is just the outside of content, and content the inside of style, like the outside and the inside of the human body. Both go together, they can't be separated."- Jean Luc Godard

timeless style is not this or that, not here or there, but being true to you.

Timeless style is never having to worry how you look. It was good enough for Gramps, it was good enough for dad, and its perfect for me...

Nothing but the essentials.

timeless style is confident and comfortable, but never inconsequential.

Timeless style is rarely having to clean out your closet.

Never shit in your neighbours flat cap.

"The unavoidable question of one's own style begins with the overcoming of fashion. For style knows no compromises."

Love this blog!

timeless: authenticity of the soul

No style is timeless without first doing time.

Timeless style is combining enough of the standard to blend in with enough of yourself to stand out.

@4plusone

Timeless style develops when comfort, fit, design and quality are combined to give a person such satisfaction that they have no desire to change the items they choose to wear.

Simplicity.

Finding what works for you is like finding the perfect woman, you don't want to change a thing.
