GQ and I are collaborating on a Test Shots series for The Best New Menswear Designers in America. Every week we'll feature a new designer. It's fitting that we start with Mark who was part of the original series that launched Test Shots.
I've been into Mark's clothing even before I knew he designed them. I was obsessed with 68 & Brothers at Union over a decade ago when I was a student at NYU. I would save all my money to buy a piece of outerwear. I still have alot of those clothes and the fact of the matter is they still look great. And that's a sign of a great designer. Mark has several lanes he designs so well in. If you're into style he's influenced you in ways you might not understand or maybe you do. I'm incredibly happy for his success and honored to call him a friend. For your daily inspiration the one they call McNasty, Mark McNairy...
