Chris asked me if I'd direct the Fall/Winter 2012 Union Los Angeles campaign. "Jake, I just want you to do what you do. Like total trust. I'd rather not be involved and give you no rules." So I partnered up with my good friend, talented photographer Nicholas Maggio again to create a hyperreality story shot at The Chateau Marmont featuring it girl Adrianne Ho, newcomer Rima Vaidila, and the legend Dimitri K. Boskov.

I've been having so much fun collaborating with my friends to tell stories through photographs. References like Helmut Newton, Diane Arbus, and The Pusher Trilogy became the main visual inspiration. The campaign highlights my handpicked personal favorites from Visvim, Thom Browne, Comme des Garçons, Maharishi, Adam Kimmel, Junya Watanabe, Mark McNairy, Sacai, and Parabellum all currently available at Union.
